Ensure all openings and hatches (if it is enclosed life boat) closed to avoid increase of water in case of accident.
All the people seated inside the lifeboat must be tighten the seat belts before the lifeboat is lifted.
Check davit and securing area is clear.
Check general condition of wire or falls and ensure they are intact on Pulley.
The hoisting time boat launching appliance should not be less then 0.3m/sec with the boat loaded to its full capacity.
Every month all lifeboat, except free fall lifeboat Shall be turn out from their stowed position, without any persons on board if weather and sea conditions so allow.
