Starter is a device that controls the use of electrical power to equipment, usually a motor. Status are made from two building blocks contactors and overload position.
Contactors control the electric current to the motor. Their function is to repeat by establishing and interrupt an electrical power circuit.
Overload protection protects the motor from drawing too much current and overheating which causes burning out.
